Mercure Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

What a find! Needed a hotel with parking in Lyon, reasonably priced and this ticked all the boxes! It actually exceeded my expectations too! Firstly parking super easy and you get 50% off via the hotel. We had an executive suite that included breakfast for £108, bargain! Not to mention the Orlon was huge, comfortable & spacious - bizarrely toilet was separate to shower and affordable. A little dusty in places and lacked some amenities in the bathroom but this does not take away from what a good deal it was. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The Mercure Hotel Gare Part-Dieu is a well-located, modern hotel, perfect for travelers using Lyon’s train station. It’s easy to reach from the airport, and despite being in the city center, the rooms are impressively quiet. Our room was well-appointed, featuring a separate shower and sink from the toilet, plus a kettle with tea-making facilities. The main bed was large and comfortable, though the fold-out bed was less so—but manageable for a short stay. It's also perfectly located for visiting all of Lyons main attractions, with easy walk to metro, bus and trams. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My daughters loved the Geckos and fish tanks in reception. The people of Lyon were also very kind and spoke excellent English, compared to my very clumsy French. The hotel has a stylish restaurant downstairs, which looked quite posh, though not ideal for dining with kids. Fortunately, the nearby train station offers plenty of breakfast options, including Paul’s, Pret, Starbucks, and local bakeries etc. For airport transport, the Rhônexpress is quick but pricey, clearly aimed at tourists. Due to ongoing work on the line, we ended up using other public transport, which was more affordable. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay, especially for those traveling via Lyon’s train station.

Well maintained property, Well mannered staff, Aptly located for travellers who are touring France since its right at the door step of the train station. Trams stops, taxis are all available 24hrs at the doorstep. Don’t think twice if its for 2 - 3 days visit to Lyon. All main squares and important monuments are just around 10 euros away by Uber ( We are a family of 3). Safe and clean property. We even walked back from Viuex Lyon.

Big rooms and comfortable beds. Big bathroom with separate toilet. Friendly and helpful staff. Kids got welcome bag with colouring and sweets. They loved the pet lizards and fish in reception! Location was pretty good but no metro running from the station behind the hotel. Meant we walked a fair bit to a bus and then caught the metro, but worked well in the end. Convenient to have shops nearby and Westfield shopping centre behind the station.

I loved how spacious the room was it reminded me of an American hotel. The facilities were very nice as well along with all the extra features provided by the hotel. Staff was very friendly and professional, and they were attentive to any and all needs.
